2/7/11 Welcome to February

It has been over month since the new pumpkin family was installed in the basement.  Either pumpkin plants are easy to grow, or they are the only plants that I have ever had luck with.  I hope that I will yet have a chance to grow the actual pumpkins with this batch.

I keep talking about replanting the little patch and today it has become abundantly clear that that probably needs to happen sooner than later.  The little guy in the picture seems to be a bit slumped.  My guess is that is due to lack of water for the past two days.  And now you are asking yourself (or at least I was asking myself). how hard is it to walk all the downstairs to the basement to put a little water on the plants.  Apparently it is hard enough that it wasn't done for two days.  That goes to me saying the I am lucky with the pumpkin plants.  I remember some saying about its better to be luck than good...anyhow, if the little slumped guy keeps going, I would like to ask for name suggestions, so let me have 'em.
