11/6/10 Punkin Chunkin...

Yesterday was the start of 'Punkin Chunkin.'  It is a three day affair in Delaware.  Sadly I have no entries this year, maybe next year.  The show is going to be on the science channel this Thanksgiving.  Although, it looks like someone in the neighborhood has attempted a bit of their own 'chunkin.'  It is sad to see a pumpkin violated in this 'un-sanctioned' manor.

So, like I said, I wanted to enlist some help from the army corps of engineers to get the pumpkin patch ready for the winter.  I asked, they sent the 'regular' army people...well that will do, all that need to happen is get the hose out and napalm the ground to kill the invading weeds.  I'm gonna hold off on the napalm for now though and see what the winter does first.  Ollie is having a bit of trouble with the little army men, but it's not something that can't be worked out.  Plus they only have plastic guns, and Ollie is HUGE!
