5/27/11 Here's whats been happening.

On the 9th of May I decided that it would be a good day to attempt to plant the pumpkin seedlings from the fish tank.  The weather was supposed to be decent and we were in for quite a bit of rain.  Well by the 11th, it looks like I had my answer.  The pumpkins did not look good.

I took an opportunity to plant some backup pumpkins on the 11th as well.  It is now the 27th and the seedlings have all but withered and blown away, and the seeds I planted have not done anything.  Come Monday I have plans to start 'Pumpkin Patch 4.0.'  The one ray of hope here is that there is still one of the mini pumpkin plants left alive and growing.  Maybe I should start to think about other fruits...Diversification...

You can see to the left the seedling are faded and almost gone.  The wet spots are the newly planted seeds.

  1. Maybe the soil needs to be worked with a little fertilzer and some mulch or sand.
