Ha! Better late than never (well not really, last years lateness resulted in pumpkin failure). My newest surprise happened today. On a whim I decided to check my little friends outside. With very low expectations, I was amazed again to see some sprouts. A few of them must have made it up a couple days ago because they have actual pumpkin leaves while the rest of them only have their primary leaves.
So, the mini pumpkins have been trying to grow since Christmas and this past week they have really shown some advancement. I have no idea if they will ever produce pumpkins though. And now the outside pumpkins are growing, but they only have a month on last years plants. Who knows what will happen this year...Look familiar?

Where are the cowboys and flamingos?
