6/4/12 The "Pumpkin Patch" is trying to change its name...

I don't know if anyone is still coming back to check on the Pumpkin Patch or not, but I am going to at least give you an update for 2012.  It seems as tough I have failed at pumpkins...or at least for now.  The pumpkins contracted that fuzzy mildew crap both years that I tried to grow them; and from what I know, they are just going to continue to do the same things (like dyeing) over and over again till i change something.

This year, I changed the whole thing.  The "Pumpkin Patch" is now the "Pepper Patch."  We are going to try five different varieties of pepper.  We are also going to keep our fingers crossed that nothing (that means you BUNNIES!) is going to walk by and just eat the whole crop.  The garden gnome team is out there now for support, but I have reinforcements if necessary.

So, the peppers went in today.  I opted to get plants that were already started for me this year, to at least take part of the failure out of the system.  The five varieties are Green, Red, Yellow, Jalepenipo, and Thai.  I'm not sure where we are going with this, I do hope I end up with some peppers, but I think I may live if I don't.  I hope you you come back to check on the progress,  I also hope there is progress, and I hope I keep up with it...Here is hoping to a pepper!  (oh and there was a rainbow too...)

  1. How sad is this.... I was actually worrying last night about whether you got them in the ground?? LOL. Glad the peppers are in their new home. Wishing you luck!
