Green peppers are indeed a fruit. That is the tip of the day. So, I have been trying to grow some type of fruit (ok, just pumpkins) for 2 years now. To my surprise, I think I may have actually achieved my goal! But first...I have to tell you a the harrowing story of the peppers.
THe gas company has been moving through the neighborhood replacing the risers for the gas meters. I thought they had deemed mine safe, so i decided to go ahead and plant the peppers. little did I know that the very next morning a rep from the gas company would be banging on my door at 9am. My new friend from the gas company then informed me that he had to dig up some of the peppers and that it would be in my best interest to go ahead and water them. He was kind enough to replant them for me. I immediately went out and watered them. The next day I went out and watered them again, and did so for the next few days...Little did i know their replanting wasn't stellar...The ground beneath the plants wasn't replaced. They all sank about 4 inches into a sink hole.
No worries though, I replaced most off the dirt around the plants; and like I said, I now have fruit! we shall now see if I can actually grow them to a usable size, and taste...
