It was sad to see Ned pass on. I had hoped with some creative watering, or drying as the case may be, I might have the chance to save (or resurrect) Ned. Well, that failed. I guess the transplant was a little too much for poor Ned. I took Ned's peat pot out of the dirt to see if a little drying helped. It did not. Ned did not get better with dry dirt, nor did replacing him and adding water help. I suppose Ned is indeed dead.Alice and Pogo do have a new little friend who is slowly growing up. The last peat pot has two new pumpkin plants growing from it as well; one of them took off like a weed (somewhere I'm sure pumpkins are considered weeds, but not here). Now I have to work on new names for all of the new plants. Well I think I might hold off for a bit to make sure they don't die too...for now lets just watch them grow...On another note, Clive has grown his first real pumpkin leaves...

Glad to hear the family is progressing even without Ned. Is there a special place set aside for Ned? He was such a handsome fellow.
