It appears as though the weather may have turned. The past two days were in the 90's; today, its in the 60's. It looks like Fall is here. The weather people say that it is going to be like this (60's) for the foreseeable future. Where is Al Roker when you need him. I am hoping that pumpkins just need 'decent' weather to grow well. As usual though, I am probably wrong. The weather people also say that it is going to be a warm winter. My hope for that is that it will be a late winter too (no early freezing). The woolly bears say something about winter as well. I have seen hundreds of the things. They are black and brown. I have no idea what that means. And now, where is Dick Goddard when you need HIM?
There is still only tho one girl flower. I keep looking, but alas, it is the only one. Its no bigger really, but it is developing some color. I wonder if color is good or bad...Oh, and 2 has reversed course; its no longer going up the side of the house, its coming down to hang out with Ollie.

Have no fear...Pumpkins are so easy to grow. Should plant in late may after the last frost...however I do not know what part of the country you live in. I live in upstate NY. My pumpkins are fortunate to grow in soil that has been worked for years. If you are not sucessful this year, please do not give up. Try again next year and maybe give a little boost of fertilizer! My favorite thing in my garden is definitely the pumpkins! Good luck!
