9/7/10 Tuesday.

Is the day after Monday for those of you who are keeping track.  Still no girl flowers.  I'm still holding out hope that the little blooms close to the vine are girl flowers, and if that is the case, really hoping that they bloom.  I can't think of anything more I can do for them short of changing the rotation of the earth so they get a tad more sun.

I did try to find some information on how to inspire them to quicken their pace, but pretty much struck out in that venture.  There is a lot of strange advice about pumpkins and many of their botanical brethren, but little of it was helpful.  If you want to make your poinsettias bloom for Christmas you can keep them in a closet for 14 hours per day starting in September.  Someone said that if you water your pumpkins with milk you have a better chance of getting a giant pumpkin.  That one appears to be an old wives' tale.  There are tips about refrigerators and garbage bags as well, and a lot of tips to make certain plants grow their buds, but pretty much nothing that I can do that I am not already doing.  If anyone has any advice let me know, old wives' tales welcome as well.

I had to check again to see if they were doing anything at night again too.  As it turns out, nope, they still do pretty much the same thing at night as they do in the morning.  2 says hi!
