Today is just a dreary day. Every time I want to go outside, it starts to rain. It's not cold or anything, just dreary. Pumpkins shouldn't mind dreary, right? As long as they get their water and don't freeze, they should be happy. There is very little to report today. The flower bud is still there, but I have to admit that it looks less and less happy as the days progress. All the flower has to do is open and get fertilized, then we will have our chance at a pumpkin. I searched both plants for more signs of another girl bud, but no luck there. It also looks like the bane of the pumpkins existence has spread more...the powdery mildew. They got another dose of their special copper stuff. The weather is supposed to be mild and rainy for the next few days. Lets hope they like that...
Aside from the wilted leaves, A looks pretty happy and green. Perhaps there is another chance for a pumpkin there.
More rain means pumpkins are growing. Maybe they could use a shot of fertlizer to pump them up. Get it Pump kins
