Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining that it was raining, the pumpkins loved it. But maybe complaints of no rain for the weekend yielded some results for today (highly unlikely, but I would like to pretend that the world does indeed relvolve around me (or at least the pumpkins)).

Anyhow, A and 2 looked their sad 'wilty' selves today which meant that I watered them and they got a dose from mother nature. It also lead me to think that perhaps some type of fertilizer or plant food might also help them out. I figure since there are two of them I might as well try two types of fertilizer. A got a dose of the pharmaceutical grade miracle grow stuff and 2 is now enjoying some all organic food a friend gave me. It probably makes no difference because they are so close to each other, but we will see who does what with what.
After the the rain both of them looked much better. It is amazing to see the difference a little water and a few hours can do. The pumpkin posse is also holding up their end of the bargain; since they were put on patrol no pumpkin related vandalism or leaf eating has happened. I would also like to take this opportunity to tell you that last year there was over a billion pounds of total pumpkins produced in the U.S. (80% of which was harvested in October).
Here is a few pics of A and 2 post watering...Now if I only had some plutonium I could plant out there with them I could have the biggest mutant plants ever...(plutonium, I understand, is far superior plant food than miracle grow)
Oh, and it should be easier to leave a comment now for the few who have asked...
